General advice for cooking popcorn in microwaves

Popcorn

You can usually buy a box of micrwavable popcorn from almost any grocery store, usually in various flavours: natural, plain, toffee, butter, extra butter, etc.

Remove one bag of popcorn from the box and unfold the bag so that the inner side of the fold faces upward. This is usually where the instructions are pre-printed.

Use judgment when choosing the appropriate cooking time, and do not leave the popcorn unattended whilst cooking! Remove the bag of popcorn from the oven. The bag should now have doubled in size due to the popcorn kernels expanding. Whilst opening the bag of popcorn, keep your face away from the opening and let the steam escape from the bag.

If you have not heated the popcorn for long enough, you will find 'unpopped' kernels in the bag. Unfortunately, these cannot be reheated.
